Intel Showed off Meego Tablet UX user interface


Intel has shown their MeeGo Tablet UX user interface with company’s MeeGo operating system.
Intel words “an intuitive object-oriented interface with panels displaying content and contacts.”
The Tablet UX will be available to programmers by Intel's AppUp developer program in next five weeks.

Intel to Start Shipping B3 Stepping Cougar Point Chipset from February 14


Intel seems to have fast-tracked its Cougar Point chipset flaw rectification. The silicon giant claims that it will be in a position to start shipping B3 stepping of Cougar Point chipsets (Intel P67, H67, etc,) from 14 February, to OEM partners. According to the latest PCN (product change notification), number 110456-00 dated 2/9/2011, Cougar Point B3 will carry the following changes/features:
  • Revision ID will change from 04h to 05h
  • BIOS Update (Revision 1.1.4 of the BIOS Specification Update and Reference Code)
  • B3 stepping package is pin compatible with B2 stepping package
  • Minor metal layer change from B2 to B3 improving lifetime wear out with no changes to functionality or design specifications

Intel Oak Trail platform for tablets


We know Intel wants to get into tablet market and has been developing Oak Trail platform for it.
Now it has come to light that the first processor based on Oak Trail platform will be Intel Atom Z670.
The single-core Atom Z670 runs at 1.5GHz and has 512KB of cache. Its TDP is rated at 3W.
First devices based on Intel Oak Trail platform will be introduced in March 2011.

Espon today have reveled two new business oriented notebooks with the Endeavor NJ3350E and NY3000. Both models are sold in their stock version respectively at 54,600 YEM and 59,850 Yen.

Comes with a choice of different CPUS including the Celeron P4600, Core i3-370M, Core i5-460M, Core i5-560M and Core i7-640M, as well as a 15.6” WXGA screen, 1GB of RAM (up to 8GB), 160GB of HDD at 5400rpm or optional 7200rpm HDD or 80GB SSD, a DVD Rom Drive or Multi Drive, Gigabit LAN and Wi-Fi ABGN.

Mouse Computer Launches New Gaming Computer


Mouse Computer Japan announces a new entrant in its G-Tune gaming brand, the NEXTGEAR i800BA8-ATI-SP2. It has an AMD Radeon HD 6870 graphics card with 1GB of video memory, an Intel Core i7-950 processor, 12GB of RAM, a 1TB hard drive and a DVD Super Multi drive, with Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit, to make use of all that RAM).
Preorders are being accepted starting today.

ZOTAC Announces HD-ID40 Series miniPC



ZOTAC International announced a new addition to their ZBOX line with the HD-ID40 series mini-PC, with Intel’s dual-core Atom D525 processor and NVIDIA Ion GPU. Two models will be available: a pre-configured box with 2GB RAM and a 250GB hard drive, and a customizable kit with two DDR2-800 SO-DIMM slots and a 2.5-inch SATA storage bay. The mini PC won’t come bundled with an operating system, but is Capable of Windows 7 with Aero and DirectCompute.
