New Upgrades for Archos 9 and Archos 7 Tablet

The Archos decided to upgrade their two Tablets, Archos 9 and Archos 7.

The Archos 9 Internet Tablet now has an SSD, while the Archos 7 Home Tablet now features a faster 800MHz processor, an 8GB flash memory and the Google Android 2.1 Eclair OS. Archos 7′s 7-inch display still provides a 800 × 480 pixel resolution with a resistive touchscreen.

MSI’s first tablet device, the WindPad 100W, is now available for purchase.
The MSI WindPad 100W comes with a 10.1-inch 1024×600 multi-touch display and runs Windows 7 Starter OS with Wind Touch user interface. The 1.7-pound tablet is based on the Intel “Menlow” low-power platform for mobile devices and includes the Atom Z530 1.6GHz single-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a 32GB solid state drive, and “over 6 hours” of battery life.
There are also front- and rear-facing cameras, a mini HDMI port, single USB connector, SDHC card reader, and 802.11n Wi-Fi.
The WindPad 100W can be currently found only at Simply Electronics and costs $709.95.
MSI is also expected to release the WindPad 100A tablet with Android OS.

The MSI WindPad U100W Windows 7 tablet will be launched in France next month for 550 Euros ($730). This tablet comes equipped with MSI’s custom wind Touch UI, a 10-inch touchscreen display, a 1.66GHz Intel Atom Z530 processor, a 2GB of RAM, a 32GB SSD, a couple of USB ports, an HDMI out, a webcam and the Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium OS.

Aluratek Cinepad Android-powered Tablet

This gadget comes jam packed with a 10-inch capacitive touchscreen with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution and runs on Android 2.2 Froyo OS. The Cinepad also supports Adobe Flash Lite, a WiFi connectivity, a microSD card slot and a 2600mAh battery, which should last for 5 to 10 hours. The Aluratek Cinepad tablet will be available in February 2011 for $299 a pop.

Motorola Xoom Android Honeycomb Tablet Introduced At CES 2011

Motorola has officially introduced their newest Android Honeycomb tablet at CES 2011. Called the Motorola Xoom, the tablet is packed with a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 touchscreen display, a 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor, a 2.0-megapixel front-facing camera, a 5.0-megapixel rear-facing camera with dual LED flash, a 1GB DDR2 RAM, a 32GB of storage space, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, 720p HD video recording capabilities, 1080p Full HD video playback support and runs on Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS. The Xoom is headed to Verizon in Q1 2011, however, there’s no word on pricing yet.

Onkyo outs 3G Windows 7 tablet for Japan only

Onkyo's outed a new Windows 7 tablet -- seems to be all the rage these days -- with KDDI 3G onboard. The 11.6-inch TW317A7 tablet (which is essentially a re-badge of the ExoPC Slate which we reviewed) boasts a 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N450 CPU, 2GB of RAM, a 32GB SSD, plus Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, card reader, two USB 2.0 ports, and stereo speakers. The 11.6-inch multitouch display has a 1366 x 768 resolution, and the tablet brings with it Onkyo's new custom ExTOUCH software which is apparently designed to enhance finger input in the OS and boasts a dedicated app launcher. The TW317A7 will be available in Japan very soon -- as in this week -- but Onkyo has yet to announce pricing.
