KT will sell WiBro-based Galaxy Tab in South Korea



Today KT announced WiBro-equiped Samsung Galaxy Tab to be sold in Korean market.
The Tab will be running Android 2.2 and allows users to share the WiBro connection with 5 other WiFi devices.
The major difference in this Tab and the other Galaxy Tab Variants is the inablity to make phone calls, but to make up for this, KT will be offering Data Plans at cheaper price.

Samsung Sells 2 million Galaxy Tab



Its been a month ago when Samsung announced their sell of 1 million Galaxy Tab and now they’re confirming that the tablet has sold more than 2 million units. The latest million has been achieved in about a month or 3 months after Galaxy Tab’s global debut.

According to Yonhap News Samsung solds 500,000 units in Europe, 350,000 units in North America and about 330,000 units in Asia.
Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Tab’s successor next month at MWC.

Samsung Tab which is the most popular device these days is now gonna available South Korea.
The Galaxy Tab (SHW-M180S) will be released soon in South Korea on SKT.

Specifications:

Samsung Galaxy Tab now available in the UK starting at £99.99


As expected through this previous announcement, Samsung's Galaxy Tab is now availablefor the folks living in the United Kingdom. Retailer Carphone Warehouse has their stores open early in the day for the expected sales. The Galaxy Tab is supposed to be available to the major UK carriers aside from Carphone Warehouse, Dixons and the T-Mobile stores.

Offerings for the tablet range from deals priced at £99.99 with a two-year contract with £40 per month that includes 5GB of data - a total of £1,060 if you do the math. On the other end, there's a £499.99 plan that is inclusive of 1GB data per month at £10 on Talk Mobile. Finally, if you want it unit-only, it's available for the price tag of £529.99.

Accessories are now available for offers too. There's the keyboard dock costing £79.99, a£29.99 carry case, and a screen protector pack worth £9.99

SingTel will introduce Galaxy Tab in Singapore from Nov 13


Singapore Telecommunications aka SingTel has confirmed to bring the Galaxy Tab to Singapore. SingTel subscribers will be able to buy one from November 13 or pre-order from tomorrow.

SingTel has tried to customize its Galaxy Tab offering by pre-loading number of apps like De!ite that will allow users to buy and read magazines and share excerpts on social networking sites; AMPed social music service; exCite TV streaming service; access to SingTel’s cloud-enabled OneOffice solution; and Roam Track app that tracks overseas mobile roaming charges.

Galaxy Tab’s hardware features remain the same.

Galaxy Tab will be sold for SG$998 without any contract and will be available on SingTel’s 3G Flexi plans that start SG$39 and go up to SG$95.

T-Mobile slaps $400 price tag on Samsung's Galaxy Tab


Deutsche Telekom-owned T-Mobile USA has this week whipped the covers off the Galaxy Tab, becoming the first U.S. telecommunications company to carry Samsung's touch-screen tablet computer.

Core specifications connected to the Galaxy Tab include version 2.2 of Google's Android operating system, the 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor, a 7.0-inch WSVGA display (1024 x 600), a multi-touch interface, 16GBs of internal memory, and up to eight hours of single charge operation.

Other contributing aspects include memory expansion via microSD (up to 32GBs), video chat support thanks to a front-facing 1.3 mega-pixel camera and a rear-facing 3.0 mega-pixel camera, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, and support for Adobe Flash 10.1 and the SWYPE virtual keyboard.

Available from November 10 through the T-Mobile online store and walk-in outlets, the Galaxy Tab will be carried via the company's “super-fast” HSPA+ broadband network. It will also include support for Samsung Media Hub, Qik Video Chat, Kindle for Android, and Slacker Radio.

Attached to a two-year service contract, the Samsung Galaxy Tab will cost $400 USD through T-Mobile—after a $50 USD mail-in rebate—undercutting the recent $600 USD purchase price announced by Verizon Wireless

Carphone Warehouse UK sets Galaxy Tab price


Carphone Warehouse has announced the price of Galaxy Tab for the UK market. Scheduled to go on sale from November 1, Galaxy Tab on Carphone Warehouse will go for £530 as a standalone unit or £500 if you buy on a 30-day rolling contract.

Consumers can pre-order the device right now which will be delivered on the launch date.

Galaxy Tab is an Android 2.2-running device and has a 7-inch display, 1GHz CPU, dual cameras, phone functionality and more.

Samsung introduces Android tablet (SMT-i9100) for KDDI Japan



Japanese operator, KDDI has added a new Samsung tablet in its portfolio and surprisingly, it’s not the same as Galaxy Tab. The SMT-i9100 looks different and features some different specs. It runs the same Android 2.2 OS with a 7-inch WSVGA (1024×600) screen, 512MB RAM but has an Ocean Observation UI instead of TouchWiz, a downgraded 2MP camera with no front-facing camera, Bluetooth 2.1 and a 2 hour battery life.

Additionally, the 450 grams tablet has Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, 4GB flash storage, microSD card slot (up to 32GB) and 2 hours of continuous battery life with standby of 12 hours.

The SMT-i9100 tablet is slated to release early next year.

Japan will also get the Galaxy Tab tablet from NTT DoCoMo.

Samsung Galaxy Tab in Russia for 36,990 rubles($1,228)



          Samsung Russia started the sale of Galaxy tab from yesterday 5pm. This Android tablet had started selling at a Svyaznoy store and will cost 36,990 rubles or $1,228. This price is obviously for the unlocked version of the tablet.
          Galaxy Tablet is already on sale in germany and expected to hit UK market in November.
