Samsung BD-D7000 – The Ultrasmall Blu-Ray Player

It’s good to have a smaller Blu-Ray player, but don’t you think it’s even better to have an ultrasmall one? Yes, now you can take advantage of a Blu-Ray player that looks more like an external DVD drive rather than a home theater disc player. Introducing the all-new Samsung BD-D7000!

Showcased at the CES 2011, the BD-D7000 Blu-Ray player boasts a compact and unique minimalist design that includes a hidden slot at the center. Once you press one of the touch-sensitive buttons along the front, this slot pops up for disc loading.

But aside from its ultrasmall design and slot-loading disc drive, the BD-D7000 also features a built-in Wi-Fi and access on Samsung Apps. That way, you can take advantage of streaming-media services like YouTube, Netflix, Blockbuster, Vudu, Twitter, and Pandora. And what’s even more exciting is that this player includes the SmartHub, a newly incorporated unified search feature that can look through all of these streaming-media services for content and make viewing recommendations. Plus, it promises faster load times and features a new “1-foot connection” for Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing you to connect to your router without the need for a password if your device is just a foot away from it.

Other than the features stated above, all the remaining features of the BD-D7000 are similar to the other Samsung Blu-Ray players set to be released this year. It is also 3D enabled and can convert 2D content to 3D. So for those who are craving for 3D content, here’s another good option for you from Samsung.
